Currently...

Steve is currently working as part of Balsamo Deighton with long-term songwriting partner Rosalie Deighton, who was a one-time member of Steve's previous band The Storys.

The duo's first album Unfolding was released in  Feb 2016, and meanwhile Steve and Rosalie are busy touring the country, promoting their beautiful new tunes!

Previously...

Steve famously played the role of Jesus in the 1996 West End revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, and then went on to play Phoebus in the London production of Notre Dame de Paris. 

He enjoyed great success with his band The Storys from 2003 - 2010, touring with the likes of Elton John, Van Morrison and Katie Melua.

Steve toured with Deep Purple legend Jon Lord from 2007 until Jon sadly left us in 2012, and has sung with the likes of Roger Daltrey, Robert Plant and, as he has been heard to say, "a couple of Stones, a couple of Eagles and some of the best players on the planet!"

The Steve Balsamo Scholarship

Scholarships run from April - April each year, and we accept applications from 1st September to 28th February

We are pleased to offer an annual scholarship in Steve's name, for outstanding students who would like to study with us but who are unable to afford the fees. 

The scholarship is available for any of our distance-learning vocal teaching courses, and covers fees and books for up to twelve months of study. Full rules, terms and conditions and an application form are available on the main Scholarship Page 

Applicants must be over 18 on the day that the course commences (usually early April), and must be prepared to submit an extensive Personal Statement explaining why they believe themselves to be a good candidate for this award.
