Course Overview

Personalised Learning Pathways are ideal for singers and singing teachers who wish to gain a qualification but don't want to be constrained by off-the-shelf, prescribed courses.  

Your PLP Higher Certificate allows you to choose up to six modules (6 x singles; 4 x singles and 1 x double; 2 x singles and 2 x doubles, or 3 x doubles) from our list. In this way, you can design the course that you want, using it to fill in gaps in your knowledge, study a specific area of interest, conduct some independent research under the guidance of a tutor, or just study for fun!

PLPs are effective for both singers and singing teachers. You simply choose what you want to study and we will mentor you through the process. Each module involves the completion of several assignments, at the end of which you will receive a detailed feedback report from your Personal Tutor, to help you to develop still further. We strongly recommend that singing teachers include a Teaching Practise module in their choices, but it is not compulsory. 

This is a distance-learning course and you will have continual support from your Personal Tutor throughout. Our support systems are top-notch and are usually more than enough, but rest assured that you can request up to 3 x 30-minute face-to-face (online) tutorials during your course should you wish to. 

Just as with our off-the-shelf courses, PLPs must be completed within your registration period, and in order to gain the final qualification you must complete each module to at least Pass standard. Naturally, you will be given all of the help and guidance that you need in order to achieve that goal but we can't do the work for you - you will need to bring your commitment, your passion for the subject, and your time management! 

Please note you are required to demonstrate competence in singing ability on application, by supplying website links (own website, Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Youtube, professional Facebook page, Dropbox folder or similar). We can also accept mp3 / mp4 files via email if no other option is available.

Assessment procedures

• Submission of written & practical work
• Automated testing where appropriate (for specific modules)
• Detailed written feedback & ongoing support & guidance from your Personal Tutor
• Live online observation and assessment of your teaching skills - if you choose to take a Teaching Practise module

• £1010 or save 10% by paying in full in advance!

• or 2 x bi-monthly instalments of £505
