Course Overview

The course last for 6 weeks, and you will have 6 x 1-hour online sessions with Ria. which will be recorded so that you can go back and review information whenever you wish. In between lessons, you will be expected to practise. The course is suitable for both vocalists and teachers and is all about getting the voice perfectly set up for training and development. Teacher Certification is also possible if required but will require an extra two weeks of study and additional fees.

"Setting Up the Voice" from the Ultimate Vocals series comes with an extensive course book to enable easy revision and recollection of the material, and each of your online sessions will be recorded so that you don't miss out on things that you want to revise!

The key thing about this course is that is helps you to push the 'factory reset' on your voice (or your students' voices) and creates optimum conditions in which you can then build and develop vocal skills naturally. This works equally well whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced vocalist who may have acquired some less-than-helpful habits along the way. This is all about vocal freedom - because when the voice is free, you will be amazed at what you can achieve!

About Ria

Ria is the Principal and founder of The Voice College. A vocal coach with over 32 years of teaching experience in private practice drama / music colleges and theatre. She also has a top-notch performance history that has taken her from Blenheim Palace to The London Palladium, including touring, session work, recording deals, radio, TV and extensive theatre work.

As a vocal coach, Ria’s theatre production credits include The Life & Times of Nicholas Nickleby, War & Peace, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Tale of Two Cities, The Grapes of Wrath and Cabaret, among many others. Additionally, she has coached performers from a whole raft of West End and touring shows including Chicago Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Smokey Joe’s Café... the list goes on!

Ria maintains a busy private teaching studio in Worcester, UK, as well as fulfilling her very demanding role at The Voice College. She is also the resident Musical Director for Worcestershire’s biggest and busiest Adult Contemporary choir, Voices Unlimited, and finally, she sings with and writes arrangements for jazz harmony vocal group 52nd Street.
